In the beginning
Ali Baba was first established in Canberra, Australia in 1979. Our first outlet was located at Woden Plaza Shopping Centre and offered a combination of K’Bab™ and Wrap dine in or takeaway style food.

Within weeks of opening, the word had spread and customer queues were out the door. Valued customers of the restaurant were now travelling many miles to enjoy our unique taste sensations.

Ali Baba has grown to encompass 50 stores across the ACT, NSW, QLD and VIC. We are everybody’s favourite place for Mediterranean cuisine and for anyone who wishes to experience a real taste sensation!
We have also introduced Bowls of Grilled Lamb or Grilled Chicken served with tasty combinations of your choice, for those conscious of carbohydrate intake.

We aim to make your experience more enjoyable, different and satisfying by focusing on the little things that make you smile.
